Our Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot and 1% Malbec. The Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is anchored by one of our most prestigious vineyards, Val Peline’s Terra A Lago. Terra A Lago’s meticulously farmed vineyard is in the foothills of the Alexander Valley at the base of the Mayacamas Mountain range and contributes massive tannins and dark fruit. The addition of Petit Verdot gives this wine its depth, Merlot adds sweetness and Malbec contributes a hint of soft blueberry fruit. It’s a wine that packs a punch, exhibiting flavors of blackberry, black cherry, bay and thyme with an oak profile of vanilla and toasted nuts. Its soft, rich tannins make it a very approachable wine that is ready to drink now but equally suitable for hanging onto for years.

This wine has an intense, deep ruby color. Dark fruit aromas of blackberry, plum, black cherry, and currant. Bright fruit aromas mingled with sweet oak, dark chocolate, slight clove, cinnamon, and black pepper.
Great blackberry flavors evolve on a bed of balanced acidity and moderate tannins, yielding a long, pleasant finish.

This is a big wine with intense ripe berry aromas and rich mouthfeel with a texture enhanced by creamy fruit and soft tannins.
